Crown Arabia Can Ltd. Operates two Plant in Saudi Arabia (Jeddah & Dammam). We are looking for a<br/><br/>Workshop Supervisor , reporting to the plant Engineering Manager. The position is based in<br/><br/>Jeddah.
Main Responsibilities:
Review plan and allocate jobs to the workshop personnel. Ensure machining, grinding, milling and lathe work is carried out for equipment’s and tools as per plan.
Monitor jobs and PM&R to ensure that they are completed to a high standard of quality, workmanship and safety and in the most cost-effective manner.
Identify and report on recurring maintenance / production problems. Determine and initiate appropriate corrective / preventive action.
Assist in the design and implementation of authorized experimental, development or expansion projects for optimizing the use of equipment material and manpower.
Ensure the gear boxes, maintenance equipment, spares for stores stock, tools inspection, steel fabrication works and building maintenance works are carried out.
LPG monitoring and maintenance, building, Plant facility and Utility repair and maintenance.
Plan, arrange and organize to carryout major projects in house to save external contractors cost and time.
Arrange to carryout inspections and necessary repairs if needed for firefighting equipment, fire extinguishers, and fire hydrants.
Ensure safe working and good housekeeping practices, Responsible for Quality, EHS and Food Safety Requirements in the workplace<br/><br/>About you:
In order to succeed in this role, you will have the following skills and attributes:
Bachelor Degree (Mechanical engineering)
Experience and Key competences:
Minimum 10 years’ experience in machine shop of a manufacturing unit preferably in the can making industry, with a proven experience in managing team
Mechanical maintenance and repairs including machining, grinding, milling, lathing, gearboxes etc. experience, with the ability to do steel fabrication work, building and utilities maintenance.
Knowledge of tools inspection and preparation of PM&R reports. Good planning and problem-solving skills, as well a Safety and Continuous Improvement mind-set required. Fluency in English necessary.
