Procurement Manager - Saudi

Construction Project (12-Month Contract) Location: Saudi Arabia Company Overview: Our client is a leading construction firm committed to delivering high-quality projects. We are helping them seeking a seasoned Procurement Manager to oversee the procurement activities for a major construction project in Saudi Arabia (Riyad). Responsibilities:

  • Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project goals and timelines.
  • Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on project requirements. Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions. Draft and review contracts to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Cost Management: Work closely with project management and finance teams to control costs and optimize procurement budgets.
  • Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure that procured materials and services meet project standards and specifications.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation plans to ensure uninterrupted project progress.
  • Compliance: Stay abreast of local and international regulations related to procurement and ensure adherence to legal requirements.
  • Reporting: Generate and analyze procurement-related reports for project stakeholders. Provide regular updates on procurement progress.
  • Team Collaboration: Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand procurement needs and incorporate them into project plans.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Procurement Manager in the construction industry, with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and vendor evaluation.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with local and international procurement regulations.
  • Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
