Condition monitoring Engineer – Electrical

Saudi - Khobar

 

Responsibilities:

1.       Onsite / Field Testing of Electrical Equipment Power Transformer up to 500 MVA, Motors, Alternators, Cables, MV switchgear, GIS, MV cables.

2.       Report writing and analysis.

 

Qualification

Graduate Electrical Engineer

 

Certification and Training

Following trainings or certifications are preferable to have:

·         Infra-red thermography certification.

·         Electrical signature analysis - ESA.

·         Vibration measurement or analysis certification level 2

·         Training on Partial discharge measurement and analysis.

·         SFRA training.

 

Experience requirement:

On site field experience of minimum 3 - 5 years is must.

Supporting documents shall be required to verify the hands on field experience.

 

Communication skills:

Must be fluent in English for understanding, reading and writing.

Shall be presentable and can deliver technical report presentations to client. 

 

Technical skills

Strong knowledge of various condition monitoring and testing international standards is required.

3.       Tan Delta testing

4.       SFRA testing

5.       DFRA testing

6.       Sound measurement

 

B.      Rotating Machines (Motors and Alternators)

1.       Infra-red thermography

2.       HV testing

3.       Tan Delta testing

4.       Electrical Signature Analysis - ESA

5.       Vibration measurement and analysis.

6.       Trouble shooting and root cause analysis.

7.       Life expectancy analysis

 

C.      MV cables

1.       Infra-red thermography

2.       HV testing

3.       Partial discharge testing

4.       Tan delta testing

 

D.      MV switchgear

1.       Infra-red thermography

2.       HV testing

3.       Partial discharge testing
