Key Responsibilities:
Supervise electrical installation works for the renovation of a high-rise, five-star hotel.
Ensure all electrical works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, the Saudi Electrical Code, NFPA standards, and hotel operator requirements.
Review electrical shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, panel schedules, load calculations, and single-line diagrams.
Supervise the installation of medium-voltage and low-voltage systems, transformers, switchgear, distribution panels, generators, UPS systems, and emergency power supplies.
Oversee lighting, small power, earthing, lightning protection, cable containment, and electrical distribution systems.
Coordinate fire alarm, emergency lighting, and other electrical life-safety systems with relevant disciplines.
Coordinate with architectural and interior design teams to ensure the proper integration of lighting fixtures, outlets, switches, control panels, and electrical equipment.
Resolve clashes between existing electrical infrastructure and new architectural, interior, and MEP installations.
Inspect electrical materials and equipment upon delivery and verify compliance with approved submittals.
Conduct site inspections, identify defective or non-compliant work, and monitor corrective actions.
Witness electrical testing, commissioning, energization, and performance verification before handover.
Review testing reports, as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, warranties, and handover documentation.
Coordinate with the client, hotel operator, consultants, contractors, utility providers, and specialist subcontractors.
Monitor progress and report technical issues, safety concerns, risks, and delays to the Project Manager.
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
Valid Saudi Council of Engineers membership is mandatory.
Minimum 15 years of experience in electrical installation and construction supervision.
Proven experience in high-rise buildings, five-star hotels, luxury hospitality developments, or major hotel renovation projects.
Strong experience in medium-voltage and low-voltage distribution, generators, UPS systems, lighting, emergency power, and life-safety systems.
Experience in testing, commissioning, and energization of electrical systems.
Strong knowledge of the Saudi Electrical Code, Saudi Building Code, NFPA requirements, and applicable international standards.
Familiarity with luxury hospitality brand standards and electrical requirements for guestrooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.
Previous experience working with an engineering consultancy or construction supervision consultant.
Ability to review electrical drawings, load calculations, panel schedules, technical submittals, and coordination documents.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM coordination, and relevant electrical engineering software.
Experience in high-rise refurbishment and working with existing electrical infrastructure is strongly preferred.
Experience in Madinah Central Area or similarly sensitive urban locations is preferred.
PMP or an equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory; Arabic is preferred.
