- Safely and expertly terminate and splice medium voltage (MV) underground and overhead power cables, ensuring electrical integrity and operational reliability.
- Perform precise cable preparation, including stripping, cleaning, and applying insulating compounds, to meet stringent manufacturer specifications.
- Conduct thorough testing and inspection of cable systems before and after splicing to identify and rectify any potential faults or weaknesses.
- Interpret complex electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to accurately identify cable routes, specifications, and connection points.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent is required, with vocational training or an associate's degree in electrical technology preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience specifically in medium voltage cable splicing and termination.
- Certification as a Certified Cable Splicer (CCS) or equivalent recognized industry credential is highly desirable.
- Proven experience working with various types of MV cable (e.g., XLPE, EPR) and associated termination kits from leading manufacturers.
