About ACWAACWA is a leading developer, investor and operator of power generation, renewable energy and water desalination projects, with a major portfolio of critical infrastructure assets across Saudi Arabia and international markets.
As our portfolio continues to grow, we are strengthening our Industrial Security & Crisis Management function and are looking for an experienced Manager – Emergency Response & Crisis Management to join the team in Riyadh. About the Role This is a corporate-level role responsible for strengthening emergency preparedness and crisis management across ACWA's projects, operating companies, offices and facilities in Saudi Arabia. Rather than managing emergency response for one individual site, you will work across the wider ACWA portfolio, ensuring project companies are aligned with a consistent Emergency Response and Crisis Management framework. You will act as a key link between project companies, ACWA leadership and relevant Saudi government authorities, helping ensure the organisation is prepared to respond effectively to major incidents and crises.
Key Responsibilities Develop, implement and maintain ACWA's Emergency Response and Crisis Management frameworks, procedures and plans. Ensure project companies and facilities are aligned with ACWA's corporate emergency and crisis-management requirements. Support the development and review of Emergency Response Plans (ERP) and Crisis Management Plans. Coordinate emergency preparedness activities across projects, operational assets, offices and construction sites. Provide guidance and support to project companies during emergencies and crisis situations. Support crisis escalation, communication and coordination between project companies and ACWA's corporate leadership. Coordinate with relevant Saudi government authorities and external stakeholders on emergency and crisis-management requirements. Plan and support emergency drills, tabletop exercises, crisis simulations and preparedness assessments. Monitor actions arising from exercises, incidents and regulatory requirements through to closure. Support the allocation and coordination of appropriate resources during major incidents. Drive continuous improvement in emergency preparedness and organisational resilience across ACWA's Saudi portfolio. Support awareness and capability development across project and corporate teams.
What We're Looking For Saudi Nationals Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Security or a related discipline. Strong professional experience in Emergency Response Planning, Crisis Management, Emergency Preparedness or organisational resilience. Experience developing and implementing Emergency Response Plans and/or Crisis Management frameworks. Experience within power generation, utilities, water/desalination, oil & gas, petrochemicals, energy or other critical infrastructure environments. Strong experience coordinating emergency exercises, drills and crisis simulations. Experience working across multiple sites, projects or business units is highly desirable. Strong understanding of crisis escalation, command-and-control and emergency communication processes. Experience engaging with Saudi government authorities and external stakeholders. Strong Arabic and English communication skills.
Preferred Experience Previous experience within a major Saudi industrial or critical infrastructure organisation. Knowledge of HCIS / SAIS requirements. Experience with Incident Command System (ICS) or similar emergency command structures. Business Continuity / Business Resilience experience. Relevant Crisis Management, Emergency Management, NEBOSH or Business Continuity qualifications.
