About Arabian Ceramics

Arabian Ceramics (سيراميك العربية) is seeking an Architect to join its team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is based in Alkhomra, Jeddah, and is open to all nationalities, with a preference for Saudi candidates.

Role Overview

The Architect will be responsible for planning, designing, and directing civil engineering aspects of manufacturing and plant projects. A primary focus of this role involves preparing preliminary design studies and developing comprehensive architectural designs, including detailed electrical and plumbing layouts.

Key Responsibilities

• Conceptualize preliminary architectural designs and produce final drawings using AutoCAD or MicroStation.
• Integrate considerations for appearance, functionality, safety, cost, and user needs into all designs.
• Participate in all phases of project development, from initial client discussions through the construction process.
• Provide pre-design services, including conducting feasibility and environmental impact studies, site selection, and specifying design requirements.
• Edit minutes from client meetings and prepare draft copies of correspondence letters and technical memos.
• Issue Material Take-Off (MTO) and Bill of Quantity (BOQ).
• Prepare plumbing and electrical layouts.
• Perform manual perspective rendering presentations using 3D modeling.
• Coordinate meetings with other design trades and check for interferences between Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC, and Fire Fighting engineering disciplines, providing on-site support.
• Conduct site inspections during construction to monitor compliance with plans and coordinate with other trades to avoid technical conflicts.
• Undertake interior and landscape design, if required, and perform minor design modifications or assist with design work.
• Manage drawing and document distribution, ensuring effective processes with clients and the design team.
• Research, plan, design, and administer building projects.
• Consult with clients to determine functional and spatial requirements for new structures or renovations, preparing information regarding design, specifications, materials, color, equipment, estimated costs, and construction time.
• Plan project layouts and integrate engineering elements into a unified design for client review and approval.
• Prepare scale drawings and contract documents for building contractors.
• Administer construction contracts and conduct periodic on-site observation of work during construction.
• Direct activities of workers engaged in preparing drawings and specification documents.
• Analyze reports, maps, drawings, AutoCAD reports/prints, tests, photographs, hydrological characteristics, and other topographical and geologic data to plan and design projects.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: Bachelor Degree.
• Experience: 0-1 year of relevant experience.
