Job Details

1. JOB PURPOSE: The Stock Control & WMS Lead is responsible for ensuring the integrity of inventory records across all warehouse locations. Inventory accuracy is a critical foundation for stock availability, expiry control, and order fulfillment performance. Inaccurate records can lead to stockouts, financial loss, expired inventory, and disruptions in service levels. The role also plays a key part in the implementation of Oracle WMS, acting as the functional lead for inventory and stock control processes.
2. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Inventory Integrity & Control:Own end-to-end inventory accuracy across all warehouse locations. Maintain perpetual inventory accuracy through structured cycle count programs rather than reliance on annual physical counts. Reconcile system records with physical stock and investigate all variances to root cause level. Reduce recurring adjustments, shrinkage, and unexplained discrepancies over time. Ensure strong control over inventory movements, adjustments, and write-offs. FEFO & Expiry Management:Enforce FEFO (First Expired, First Out) principles at all times. Ensure lot-level traceability is maintained for all stock movements. Monitor expiry and near-expiry inventory and ensure early identification for corrective action. Minimize expired and obsolete stock exposure. Oracle WMS Implementation & System Ownership:Act as the inventory functional lead for Oracle WMS implementation. Own inventory master data structure including items, locations, and warehouse configuration. Define and support slotting, bin logic, and inventory structure design. Lead testing and validation (UAT) for inventory-related processes before system go-live. Ensure accurate setup and execution of cycle count and adjustment workflows in the system. Support data migration, system readiness, and post-go-live stabilization. Process Standardization:Develop and standardize Stock Control SOPs across all warehouse locations. Ensure consistent execution of cycle counts, adjustments, and write-off processes. Drive compliance with inventory governance standards and internal controls. Reporting & Analysis:Produce accurate inventory aging, slow-moving, and excess stock reports. Provide actionable insights to support planning and procurement decisions. Support reduction of inventory holding levels while maintaining service levels. Team Leadership:Build, lead, and develop stock control teams across warehouse locations. Set performance standards for accuracy, accountability, and operational discipline. Provide training and coaching on inventory control processes and system usage. Compliance & Audit Readiness:Ensure inventory records are audit-ready at all times. Maintain full traceability of inventory movements by lot and batch. Support internal and external audits and regulatory inspections related to inventory control.
3. QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.5-to-7 years in inventory / stock control within a distribution business, ideally in medical devices, pharma, or another regulated, expiry- and lot-sensitive environment. Hands-on Oracle WMS deployment experience A demonstrable track record running cycle-count programs and resolving book-to-physical variance
