2. OVERALL JOB PURPOSE:

Accountable for first line leadership and management of (specific discipline) team members to enable the work of self and team members and building their expertise and skills, and deliver frontline team results such as safety, production, maintenance, quality, cost and motivation.

3. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

Qualification:

1. High school certificate

2. Maths and Science preferred

3. Trade test / Formal Production qualification

Experience:

7 Years experience in relevant field of Artisan/Production

• Controlling operations of equipment and/or systems
• Advanced knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, cost, and other techniques for maximising the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
• Sound knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models
• Full physical mobility, and ability to work in confined spaces and/or at hights
• Extensive experience of shutdowns and managing projects
• Competent interpreting regulations and codes; reading ISO drawings Mechanical/Electrical/Instruments Flow Diagrams and other technical drawings
• Sound knowledge of statutory process compliance requirements, and understanding of the relevant regulatory and compliance issues specific to the Affiliate
• Familiar with materials, services, financial and other planning related work methods
• Proficient working knowledge of appropriate tools and systems to find, extract and analyse data and produce reports
• Effective verbal and writing communication skills (incl reporting)

• Planning, control and management of operations/maintenance activity
• Ensure effective execution of operations/maintenance activities

• Manage and control costs (where allocated budget responsibility is assigned)
• During emergency situations, evaluate the abnormalities and take corrective action as to avoid downtime, equipment damage and/or HSERQ incidents
• Ensure own team adhere to operational/maintenance procedures
• Ensure maintenance planning is scheduled optimally to maximise production output
• Take action on first occurrence performance problems, misconduct, disciplinary and grievance cases
• Manage performance, training and career development of own team
• Ensure sensitisation to diversity in the workplace
• Accountable for practical "declaration of competence" of employees to operate the plant
• Participate in selection of staff (for own team) by being an active member on recruitment panels
• Driving Saudization (recruitment, training & development) in own team
• Ensure standard operating procedures are applied
• Ensure compliance to PSM (Process Safety Management)
• Drive Ma'aden Safety Culture Transformation Program
• Manage certain start-up and shutdown tasks
• Participate (or conduct on own team) in potential deviation analysis (PDA), root cause analysis (RCA) and risk assessments

Desired Candidate Profile
