Roles & Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the Chef de Partie in managing a designated kitchen section and ensuring smooth daily operations.

  • Prepare and cook dishes according to the hotel s recipes, quality standards, and culinary guidelines.

  • Support and guide Commis Chefs within your section, providing training and mentorship as needed.

  • Maintain strict adherence to hygiene, food safety, and HACCP standards.

  • Help monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory management for your section.

  • Ensure cleanliness, organization, and proper functioning of your workstation and equipment.

  • Assist in controlling food costs by minimizing waste and ensuring correct portion sizes.

  • Collaborate with the Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, and culinary team to learn and contribute to new menu ideas.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • Previous experience as a Demi Chef or Commis Chef in a hotel or upscale restaurant.

  • Basic knowledge of culinary techniques, recipes, and kitchen operations.

  • Ability to manage a section under supervision and work effectively in a team.

  • Knowledge of HACCP, food hygiene, and safety procedures.

  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

  • Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.

Desired Candidate Profile
