ABOUT THE ROLE
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the Chef de Partie in managing a designated kitchen section and ensuring smooth daily operations.
Prepare and cook dishes according to the hotel s recipes, quality standards, and culinary guidelines.
Support and guide Commis Chefs within your section, providing training and mentorship as needed.
Maintain strict adherence to hygiene, food safety, and HACCP standards.
Help monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory management for your section.
Ensure cleanliness, organization, and proper functioning of your workstation and equipment.
Assist in controlling food costs by minimizing waste and ensuring correct portion sizes.
Collaborate with the Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, and culinary team to learn and contribute to new menu ideas.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Previous experience as a Demi Chef or Commis Chef in a hotel or upscale restaurant.
Basic knowledge of culinary techniques, recipes, and kitchen operations.
Ability to manage a section under supervision and work effectively in a team.
Knowledge of HACCP, food hygiene, and safety procedures.
Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.
