Responsibilities:
The main purpose Sr. Engineer – Design – Mechanical role is to lead a team of Design Mechanical (HVAC, PB & FF) Engineers to develop designs from job specifications in accordance with international engineering standards and codes of practice.
- Support in the development of KSA national employees across the function to support corporate objectives, Saudization targets and the knowledge dissemination culture to ensure optimal building of internal capabilities and maximize their performance
- Conduct affairs with the highest standards of respect, integrity, accountability, agility, quality, safety and corporate governance
- Ensure compliance with Code of Ethics policy and adopting company values
- Adopt and utilize systems and ERP in the function
- Develop designs from project specifications
- Allocate, prioritize and check work of a team of Mechanical (HVAC, PB & FF) Design Engineers and Mechanical (HVAC, PB & FF) Senior and Cad Operators
- Check and evaluate design and material specifications for tender
- Prepare and check material data sheets and material take off reports
- Document, record and report on meetings, progress of jobs and construction completions from design & validation reports from Project Engineers
- Coordinate with other member of the design team for other trades
- Incorporate feedback from projects and customers for design clarification and modifications during the development and construction project phases
- Expert level knowledge of the BIM tools used on a project
- Manage the day-to-day modelling issues on the project
- Ensure the models are created in accordance with the BIM standards for the project; perform health checks (e.g. audits) on the model to ensure his compliance with the project requirements
- Conduct regular design coordination reviews with the modelling team under the control of the BIM coordinator to identify and resolve any coordination errors or deficiencies in the models
- Participate in design review and model co-ordination workshops (to perform design review BIM use) with the consultant
Qualifications:
- Proficient in spoken and written English and Arabic
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 10 to 12 Years of work Experience as a Mechanical (HVAC, PB & FF) Design Engineer
- Experience in the HVAC, Plumbing field of buildings and infrastructure system
- Experience in design and Shop drawing related to design office of Construction Company or consultant.
- Knowledge of mechanical building system design software's (Calculation, Equipment’s selections, system layouts design,), MS excel, MS word and features AutoCAD
- Knowledge of Mechanical local Standards (SBC, Civil Defense requirement)
- Knowledge of Mechanical International Standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA, UPC, NPC, ASPE)
- Proficient in MS Office Suites
- Knowledge in vendor evaluation.
- Proficient in engineering knowledge.
- Advanced in risk management.
- Advanced in engineering design.
