Job Summary
SMH hiring Technical Manager responsible for leading and overseeing turnaround (TA) and shutdown projects related to rotating equipment within the oil and gas industry. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously while ensuring project efficiency, safety, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of turnaround and shutdown projects for rotating equipment.
- Manage and supervise site activities, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and within project timelines.
- Lead and coordinate a team of engineers, technicians, and supervisors.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates and reports to senior management.
- Ensure proper allocation and management of site manpower and resources.
- Conduct and participate in client meetings for project planning, execution strategies, and preparation activities.
- Oversee all technical aspects of projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical and operational challenges.
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and operational procedures throughout project execution.
- Carry out additional activities and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience in turnaround (TA) and shutdown projects of rotating equipment within the oil and gas industry.
- Proven experience in rotating equipment maintenance majorly compressors, steam turbines, extruders, pumps, gearboxes etc.
- Strong knowledge of rotating equipment operations and maintenance practices.
