BCM and regulatory skills Strong command of BCM lifecycle: risk assessment, business impact analysis (BIA), continuity strategy, plan development, testing, maintenance, and governance.
Detailed understanding of financial‑services BCM/BCP expectations (e.g., critical services identification, RTO/RPO, third‑party/vendor continuity, board reporting).
Ability to write and maintain enterprise‑level BCM and crisis‑management policies, standards, and playbooks mapped to regulatory requirements. ITDR and architecture skills
Deep knowledge of IT disaster recovery planning: DR architectures, redundancy and high availability, data replication, backup/restore, failover and failback strategies.
Experience designing DR for tier‑1 banking platforms (payments, core banking, trading, channels) with clear RTO/RPO and resilience patterns across on‑prem, private cloud, and public cloud.
Hands‑on understanding of infrastructure components (network, storage, databases, middleware, virtualization, container platforms) and how they influence DR design.
Ability to define and automate DR runbooks, integrate monitoring/alerting, and design regular DR tests and exercises with clear success criteria. Risk, analysis, and tooling
Strong risk and impact analysis skills: assessing threats, single‑point‑of‑failure analysis, and translating risk into practical mitigation and recovery options.
Familiarity with BCM/ITDR tools and orchestration platforms (for plan management, mass notification, workflow automation, evidence for audits).
Capability to track metrics and KRIs (e.g., test success rates, recovery time performance, control gaps) and feed them into continuous‑improvement cycles.
Soft skills and stakeholder management
Strong communication skills to explain complex DR and resilience topics to CXOs, auditors, regulators, and IT teams, and to socialize BCP/DR plans across the bank.
Ability to facilitate cross‑functional workshops (business, operations, IT, vendors) for BIA, scenario design, and DR exercises, and to build consensus on priorities.
Leadership and influencing skills to drive adherence to resilience standards and to coordinate effectively during real incidents and simulations

Core responsibilities Develop, maintain, and implement business continuity and IT disaster recovery strategies, plans, and procedures, including risk assessments and business impact analyses.
Coordinate DR activities with IT and business teams, schedule and lead DR/BCP tests and exercises, and track remediation actions.
Monitor compliance with internal policies and regulatory expectations, maintain documentation and evidence, and support internal/external audits.
Provide training and advisory support to business units on BCM/DR processes and act as a key contact during incidents and crisis situations
