This position is designed specifically for a recent graduate at the start of their teaching career who is eager to learn, grow, and develop within a supportive department. The role provides an opportunity to gain experience delivering Arabic and/or Islamic Studies across a range of ages, while working closely alongside experienced Arabic and Islamic Studies teachers. 

The post carries a reduced and flexible teaching load, allowing time for professional development, mentoring, and gradual increase in responsibility as confidence and experience grow. As a startup school with fluctuating student numbers, the role exists primarily to provide flexibility, support highquality provision, and maintain strong stafftostudent ratios. 

Key responsibilities 

Support the delivery of Arabic, Islamic Studies and KSA Studies across Early Years, Primary, and/or Secondary, depending on experience and school needs  Work with native and nonnative Arabic speakers, either leading small groups or supporting within the classroom  Assist in splitting classes, coteaching, or providing additional inclass support to allow effective differentiation  Teach in multigrade settings, with guidance and planning support from experienced colleagues  Use Arabic as the primary language of instruction, with English used where appropriate, particularly when supporting non Arabic speakers in Islamic Studies  Align teaching with Saudi national curriculum requirements while working within the school’s International Baccalaureate (IB) framework  Act with flexibility as student numbers and timetables evolve throughout the year  Contribute positively to wider school life where needed, particularly when teaching hours are lower

Essential requirements 

Degree in Islamic Studies and/or Arabic (required to meet national expectations)  Saudi nationality (this position is reserved for Saudi nationals as part of our commitment to local talent development)  Nativelevel Arabic and sufficient English to support learning and collaborate with colleagues  Willingness to teach both Arabic and Islamic Studies, depending on need  Openness to working across a range of ages, subjects, and classroom contexts 

Highly valued (but not essential) 

Due to the flexible nature of the role, interest or experience in any of the following will be an advantage: 

Library support  English as an Additional Language (EAL)  Physical Education  SEN or learning support 

Important to know 

Teaching hours may initially be limited or variable depending on student numbers  Workload and responsibilities may change over the course of the year  This is a junior role with a corresponding salary level, reflecting reduced responsibility and a strong developmental focus  Clear guidance, mentoring, and support will be provided to ensure the role remains manageable and positive
