Role overview We are seeking a Design Director with strong architectural background to lead the design of high‑end villa and residential real estate projects
Key responsibilities Lead the end‑to‑end design process for villa and residential projects, from concept through detailed design and coordination with stakeholders. Review and approve architectural drawings, layouts, and specifications to ensure design quality, functionality, and compliance with local regulations and codes. Coordinate with internal development, engineering, and construction teams, as well as external consultants, to ensure design intent is maintained throughout the project lifecycle. Provide design leadership, mentoring and guidance to in‑house design teams and external consultants. Ensure project designs align with budget, timelines, and overall business objectives, supporting value engineering where required. Present design concepts and progress to senior management and clients, incorporating feedback into iterative design improvements.
Technical and functional skills Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or related field. Proven experience (12+ years preferred) in architectural design for villas / high‑end residential projects within the real estate sector. Strong proficiency in architectural design software and BIM tools (e.g., Auto CAD, Revit, Sketch Up, or similar). Solid understanding of Saudi building codes, local authority requirements, and real estate development standards. Strong design review, coordination, and documentation skills, with attention to detail in drawings, material specifications, and finishes. Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to lead multi‑disciplinary, multi‑cultural teams.
