GENERAL ROLE:The Retail Manager at Miraval The Red Sea is responsible for the overall operation, merchandising, financial performance, and guest experience in both the Lobby Boutique and Spa Boutique. This role oversees daily retail activities, inventory control, visual merchandising, staff training, and the development of retail strategies aligned with Miraval’s brand ethos and luxury positioning. The Retail Manager plays a key role in maximizing revenue opportunities, ensuring seamless integration of retail into the broader wellness journey, and creating meaningful connections with guests through curated retail experiences.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Please note that the responsibilities outlined below are not exhaustive. Miraval The Red Sea colleagues continuously innovate in caring for the needs of the business, their guests, and their colleagues. As Retail Manager you will need to:
1. Retail Operations Leadership Oversee daily operations of the Lobby Boutique and Spa Boutique, ensuring exceptional guest service and smooth workflow. Lead and supervise the retail team, including Retail Supervisors and Retail Associates. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and luxury presentation standards in both retail spaces. Implement operational procedures and standards to ensure efficiency and compliance.
2. Financial Management & Sales Strategy Develop and manage retail budgets, monitor costs, and drive profitability. Analyze sales data, monitor KPIs, and adjust strategies to meet financial targets. Develop pricing strategies, promotions, and incentive programs to drive sales. Ensure accurate cash handling, POS transactions, and reporting.
3. Guest Experience & Engagement Deliver personalized retail experiences that reflect Miraval’s philosophy of mindfulness and luxury. Train team members on product knowledge, storytelling, and upselling techniques to enhance guest engagement. Proactively engage with guests to understand preferences and provide tailored recommendations. Manage guest feedback and implement service recovery when necessary.
4. Merchandising & Product Management Curate a selection of products aligned with Miraval’s brand values and guest preferences. Plan and execute visual merchandising strategies that elevate the retail environment. Collaborate with suppliers and the Procurement team to source unique, high-quality products. Oversee inventory management, stock levels, and timely reordering to avoid stockouts or overstocking.
5. Team Development & Performance Recruit, onboard, and train retail team members. Conduct regular coaching sessions, performance evaluations, and succession planning. Foster a positive and collaborative team culture grounded in Miraval’s values. Promote professional development and continuous learning within the retail team.
6. Collaboration & Cross-Department Integration Work closely with Spa & Wellness Operations, Spa Manager, and Front Office to integrate retail into the guest journey. Collaborate with Marketing to create promotional campaigns, social media content, and in-store events. Partner with Finance and Procurement teams for financial reporting, inventory management, and compliance.
7. Compliance & Safety Ensure all retail operations comply with health, safety, and local regulations. Conduct regular audits and inspections to uphold standards. Train staff on safety procedures, loss prevention, and emergency protocols.
8. Administrative & System Management Maintain accurate records of inventory, sales, and operational reports. Utilize POS and inventory management systems to track performance and streamline operations. Prepare reports for senior leadership on financial results, guest trends, and operational insights.
QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Management, Hospitality, or related field. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in luxury retail management, preferably within hospitality or spa environments. Proven track record in sales performance, team leadership, and financial management. Strong knowledge of luxury retail trends, merchandising, and guest service excellence. Familiarity with retail POS systems, inventory management software, and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are advantageous.
