Job Summary The Acting Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of the department during the temporary absence of the permanent manager. The role ensures continuity of operations, achievement of departmental objectives, compliance with company policies, and effective leadership of the team. Key Responsibilities Operational Management Oversee daily departmental operations to ensure efficiency and continuity. Implement company policies, procedures, and management directives. Monitor performance and ensure departmental targets and KPIs are met. Team Leadership Supervise, guide, and support team members to maintain productivity and discipline. Allocate tasks, manage schedules, and approve leaves within delegated authority. Address employee issues and resolve operational challenges. Communication & Coordination Act as the main point of contact between the department and senior management. Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow. Handle escalations and ensure timely resolution of issues. Reporting & Administration Prepare and submit regular reports on operations, performance, and issues. Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping. Monitor departmental resources and expenses. Decision-Making Make operational decisions within assigned authority during the acting period. Escalate strategic or high-risk matters to senior management. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Management, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience, including supervisory or leadership exposure. Skills & Competencies Strong leadership and people management skills Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities Good organizational and decision-making skills Proficiency in MS Office and relevant systems
