The Medical Director is responsible for overseeing the medical services and clinical operations of the hospital, ensuring high-quality patient care, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. JOB REQUIREMENTSEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Educations and Certificates:Bachelor’s degree in physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R), , Internal Medicine, ICU, Pediatric or related field. Saudi Nationality with a valid SCFHS registration as a consultant Experience:A minimum of 8 years of clinical experience in rehabilitation or extended care settings At least 3 years of leadership or administrative experience in a healthcare facility, preferably in a similar role SKILLS AND PORFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGEFamiliarity with healthcare regulations and standards to ensure accreditation and compliance. Proficiency in quality improvement methodologies and patient safety protocols. Understanding healthcare policies, financial management, and reimbursement models. Ability to foster teamwork among healthcare professionals to enhance patient care. Skills in analyzing clinical data and using electronic health records for performance monitoring. Leading the creation and implementation of hospital policies related to medical services. Overseeing medical staff development programs to maintain high standards and regulatory compliance. Collaborating on long-term goals for program expansion and service enhancement. Representing the hospital in outreach initiatives and establishing partnerships with local organizations. Policy Implementation: Ensure the enforcement of hospital policies and procedures within the rehabilitation department. Scheduling and Staffing: Oversee staffing schedules to maintain adequate coverages for all clinical and administrative functions. Regulatory Audits: Prepare for and participate in internal and external audits to ensure adherence to healthcare regulations. Training on Compliance: Conduct regular training sessions for staff on compliance requirements and confidentiality protocols. Incident Reporting: Implement a robust incident reporting system to identify and address compliance breaches and confidentiality issues. Performance Metrics: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess departmental effectiveness and quality of care. Regular Reporting: Provide comprehensive reports to hospital leadership on clinical outcomes, compliance statuses, and areas for improvement. Patient and Staff Surveys: Implement surveys to gather feedback from patients and staff, using the data to inform quality improvement initiatives. Multidisciplinary Rounds: Facilitate regular interdisciplinary rounds to discuss patient care plans and ensure coordinated treatment approaches. Conflict Resolution: Mediate conflicts among team members to promote a harmonious and productive working environment.
