Job Overview:The MEP Technician (Pool) is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of swimming pool systems, with primary focus on plumbing activities, supported by mechanical and electrical works. During the pre-opening phase and ongoing operations, this role ensures all pool systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with luxury brand standards and regulatory requirements.
Essential Job Functions:Support pre-opening activities including inspection, testing, commissioning, snag clearance, and system handover of pool systems. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot pool plumbing systems including pumps, filters, pipelines, valves, dosing systems, and water features. Maintain mechanical equipment such as motors, pumps, heat exchangers, and circulation systems. Carry out basic electrical works related to pool equipment, lighting, control panels, and sensors. Monitor and maintain water quality, filtration, and chemical dosing systems. Execute preventive and corrective maintenance as per approved schedules and hotel standards. Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers during pre-opening and defect liability periods. Respond promptly to emergency pool-related breakdowns to ensure guest safety. Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, safety standards, and brand requirements. Maintain accurate maintenance logs, breakdown reports, and spare parts records. Strictly adhere to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies. Support energy-efficient and sustainable operation of pool systems.
Qualifications & Experience:Technical Diploma certification in Plumbing, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering. Minimum 8–10 years of hands-on experience in pool systems maintenance, preferably in luxury hotels, resorts, or large commercial properties. Pre-opening hotel experience is an advantage. Strong working knowledge of pool plumbing, mechanical equipment, and basic electrical systems.
Skills & Competencies:Strong hands-on troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Good understanding of pool operations and safety requirements Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Preventive maintenance mindset and attention to detail Strong safety awareness and compliance orientation
