ABOUT THE JOB
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Materials Engineer to join our Project and Construction Management team in Riyadh. This opportunity lies within our Infrastructure Division and requires specific expertise in working on Civil Engineering and Transportation projects, particularly those involving roads, highways, bridges, and tunnels in urban environments. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating all technical aspects related to material acceptance for on-site deployment, including checking relevant certification, verification and approval, local content requirements, specification compliance and testing and commissioning. You should coordinate with all the other relevant senior specialties as materials’ acceptance is a key issue in the successful delivery of the project.
KEY RESPONSABILITIES
Main descriptions of the job position:
Technical review of all materials as well as coordination of all other discipline specialists and with the persons responsible for quality control. Advises technically on design changes. Oversees and coordinates the review of the Contractor’s technical submissions, Final review of all Contractor’s review drawings, schedules, or materials submittals to ensure compliance with the overall objectives of the design concepts of the project. Assessment and technical reporting on any Value Engineering proposals. Coordination with any other supervision services team. Acts as point of contact between the materials department and the Technical Manager.
ABOUT YOU
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and/or equivalent work experience. Applicable Experience: over 15 years in project management, particularly in mega construction projects, with a focus on onsite landscaping. Understanding of construction, design and engineering principles. Understanding of local building codes, regulations, and safety standards. Proficiency level of English language. Arabic Language is a plus. Excellent communication skills. Report writing skills, social skills, communication, teamwork, problem solving, autonomy, flexibility, and technical rigor. Willingness to work in a multinational environment firm.
Additional requirements:
Transferable Iqama in case of non-Saudi. Based in Riyadh. Valid SCE membership.
