Senior Engineering Manager (Process / Design Engineering)

We are partnering with a leading FMCG manufacturer in the Middle East to appoint a Senior Engineering Manager (Process / Design Engineering) to lead the design, installation, and optimisation of large-scale dairy processing operations.
This is a senior technical leadership role, suited to an engineer with deep hands-on experience across dairy process design, commissioning, and hygienic engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities Lead process design and engineering for dairy production lines from concept through installation and commissioning Own process engineering fundamentals, including:P&IDs, layouts, batch size calculations Mass & energy balances Heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and process control Process sizing and functional design specifications Provide technical oversight across pasteurisation, homogenisation, fermentation, separation, aseptic processing, and packaging Drive best-practice hygienic design, CIP systems, and operational efficiency Ensure full compliance with food safety, quality, and environmental standards Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, quality, maintenance, and project teams Support continuous improvement initiatives across existing and new manufacturing assets
Required Qualifications & Experience Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or similar Minimum 8 years’ experience in process engineering design and installation within dairy manufacturing Strong practical knowledge of dairy processing principles and large-scale industrial systems Proven experience using:Process simulation tools CAD drawings and engineering design software In-depth understanding of:HACCP, GMP, and relevant environmental regulations Dairy hygienic design concepts and engineering standards CIP practices and protocols
Preferred Background Experience gained within large, complex dairy or food manufacturing environments Exposure to multinational FMCG or OEM environments is highly advantageous
