Job Summary
Develop and implement the Engineering Department’s strategic plans and objectives, design programs that support the achievement of these goals, and oversee the planning, coordination, and management of all engineering activities to ensure the plant is properly maintained, fully equipped, and efficiently operated, while supporting current operations and future expansion of buildings and production lines.
Duties And Responsibilities
Participating in the development of strategies and objectives of the department. Developing and managing the execution of short term plans for implementing the approved objectives. Analyzing out department’s expenses to prepare the annual engineering budget and forecasts and all Capital Expenditure proposals as well as ensuring compliance with legal standards with manage the activities to be within the approved budget. Flourishing suggestions and recommendations that would enable a more effective and efficient workflow. Monitoring the workflow within the department and ensuring that all preventive and corrective actions are being taken promptly. Developing managerial and technical circulars within the department towards the achievement of the set plans and objectives. Conducting periodic meetings with subordinates regarding work priorities and ensuring work is flowing smoothly. Manage and coordinate the activities of the maintenance section, and keep abreast of the means and equipment used in the maintenance to reduce the time needed for maintenance operations and to reduce machines downtime in conformity with current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and SOPs. Search, review, negotiate and approve proposals, maintenance contracts, monitor expenditures, Enforce or apply policies and contracts in all engineering projects. Responsible to plan, implement preventive maintenance schedules and corrective maintenance for production machineries, equipment, utilities, buildings and infrastructure. Ensure that all production equipment, utilities, buildings, and infrastructure are in good condition and meet the latest regulations for the pharmaceutical industry. Responsible for developing, studying and evaluating all engineering plans and drawings, including supervision of future expansions in buildings and equipment’s. Prepare and study the needed spare parts' list for machines while keeping minimum stock within budget. Responsible to study and supply the change parts for machines to ensure that they are suited to the machines and products. Ensure that HVAC System, Purified water system meet the requirements of the pharmaceutical industry and GMPs. Responsible for monitoring the implementation of all engineering department documents and ensuring that they are GMPs compliant and properly documented per GDPs. Responsibility for supervising the study, supply, and installation of any new machine or equipment required for production, facilities, buildings, or infrastructure. Developing periodic reports related to the activities of the department and forwarding them to the direct manager. Recommending training aspects to subordinates and evaluating the outcomes of development and reflecting them properly on work related requirements. Overseeing the manpower planning process as per the developed budgets and plans. Coordinating with the Finance function for payments and subcontractors endorsement.

Job Requirements
A minimum of 10 years of experience in a related field, which includes sterile, production maintenance, and utilities maintenance, with at least 3 years in a managerial position. B. Sc. degree in electrical, mechanical, or any equivalent industry related branch in engineering Proficiency in written, read, and spoken English and Arabic.
