Role Overview:

The Senior Landscape Engineer is responsible for supervising and monitoring all landscape works for road and highway infrastructure projects under PMC and construction supervision scope. The role ensures that all landscape activities comply with approved designs, specifications, environmental regulations, and local authority standards. It includes leading design reviews, shop drawing reviews, material approvals, and site supervision, while coordinating with contractors and inspectors to achieve project objectives and sustainability requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Review, evaluate, and provide comments on landscape design drawings, shop drawings, and material submittals, particularly for road and highway-related works. Supervise and monitor on-site landscape activities including planting, irrigation systems, soil improvement, hardscape, and streetscape works. Lead and manage landscape site activities, ensuring proper coordination with contractors, inspectors, and other disciplines. Ensure all works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, environmental regulations, and municipal / authority requirements. Oversee material inspections, testing, mock-ups, and approvals related to landscape components. Verify the implementation of approved construction methods and adherence to quality control and HSE procedures. Review and respond to contractor correspondences, RFIs, method statements, and technical submittals. Coordinate with PMC, construction supervision teams, and contractors to resolve technical and site-related issues. Ensure sustainability measures are implemented and that existing trees, vegetation, and environmental assets are protected throughout construction. Provide technical guidance and oversight to landscape inspectors and junior staff on site. Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture. Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience. Proven experience in design review, shop drawing assessment, and material approvals. Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, planting techniques, and sustainable landscaping practices. Familiarity with Saudi Arabian municipal and environmental regulations. Excellent coordination, reporting, and communication skills.
