We are seeking an experienced Production Factory Estimator to join our client’s manufacturing team in Riyadh, KSA. The role focuses on preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for factory-manufactured works, including joinery, metal, upholstery, solid surface, and specialist finishes. The Estimator will work closely with design, production, procurement, and commercial teams to ensure pricing reflects actual manufacturing processes, capacities, and risks.
Key Responsibilities1. Cost Estimation & Pricing Prepare detailed factory cost estimates based on drawings, specifications, BOQs, and design details. Develop comprehensive rate build-ups covering materials, labor, machine time, wastage, finishes, and logistics. Prepare budgetary, tender, and post-tender pricing submissions.2. Production Method Analysis Review designs to determine the most efficient manufacturing methods. Coordinate with production managers and supervisors to validate productivity assumptions and capacities. Identify value engineering and cost-optimization opportunities.3. Quantity Take-Off & Measurement Perform accurate quantity take-offs from IFC and shop drawings. Measure factory-produced items including panels, carcasses, shutters, solid wood, metal works, and finishes.4. Material & Supplier Coordination Coordinate with procurement teams to obtain supplier quotations and confirm lead times. Maintain and update material cost databases and historical pricing records.5. Risk & Commercial Awareness Identify cost and production risks related to design complexity, finishes, tolerances, approvals, and timelines. Clearly document assumptions, exclusions, and clarifications within all estimates.6. Post-Award Support Support variation pricing and cost impact assessments. Provide feedback based on actual production costs to improve future estimates.
Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Industrial Production, or Architecture.5–8 years of experience in factory-based estimation within joinery, fit-out, or metal manufacturing environments. Prior GCC experience is preferred.
