Network & Zero Trust Security Engineer The Network & Zero Trust Security Engineer is responsible for managing and securing the organization’s network and access infrastructure. The role spans Zscaler SASE, Forti Gate / Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco & Aruba switching, Aruba Clear Pass NAC, and Aruba Wireless systems. The engineer ensures optimal network performance, Zero Trust enforcement, secure access control, and rapid response to network incidents. Key Responsibilities Zscaler SASE Administration Manage ZIA / ZPA configurations including access policies, application segmentation, and traffic rules. Troubleshoot client connectivity issues including tunnels, authentication, DNS, and routing. Maintain Zero Trust posture and continuously optimize policy performance. Forti Gate / Palo Alto Firewall Operations Configure NGFW features including security policies, NAT, UTM profiles, VPN, and SD-WAN. Monitor logs, analyze threats, and respond to firewall-related incidents. Manage HA clusters, firmware upgrades, and conduct regular configuration audits. Switching (Cisco / Aruba) Configure VLANs, trunking, routing, ACLs, and port security mechanisms. Maintain switching infrastructure health and perform periodic hygiene checks. Support network expansion initiatives and topology redesigns. Aruba Clear Pass NACImplement and maintain 802.1X, RADIUS/TACACS+, device profiling, and posture checks. Manage onboarding workflows for corporate, BYOD, contractor, and IoT devices. Troubleshoot authentication failures and access enforcement issues. Aruba Wireless Deploy and optimize wireless controllers, access points, RF profiles, and coverage plans. Conduct wireless health assessments and resolve performance bottlenecks. Operational Responsibilities Ensure network availability, redundancy, and performance in line with defined SLAs. Perform configuration backups, monitoring, and proactive maintenance. Participate in RCA activities for network and access-related incidents. Documentation & Reporting Maintain up-to-date network diagrams, ACL matrices, and firewall/NAC documentation. Provide monthly operational KPIs, incident summaries, and change logs. Required Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in enterprise network and security operations. Strong experience with Zscaler, Fortinet firewalls, Cisco/Aruba switching, Aruba Clear Pass, and Aruba Wireless. Solid understanding of Zero Trust architectures and access control models. Strong knowledge of L2/L3 networking, routing protocols, RF fundamentals, and troubleshooting. Professional working proficiency in English (reading, writing, and communication). Preferred Certifications Zscaler ZCCA-IA / ZCCA-PAFortinet or Palo Alto Certification Aruba ACCA / ACCPCisco CCNA / CCNP
