Responsible for fabricating, assembling, repairing, and modifying plant structures, guards, ducting, and equipment parts using various metalworking techniques. Ensures that all fabricated items meet plant safety, quality, and operational requirements. Fabricate guards, covers, supports, platforms, and ducting from materials such as stainless steel, GI sheets, and mild steel. Perform cutting, bending, welding, grinding, and finishing operations as required. Assemble fabricated components and install them on machines, conveyors, and plant infrastructure. Modify and repair worn or damaged metal parts, frames, ducts, and protective enclosures. Operate welding equipment (MIG, TIG, ARC), cutting torches, plasma cutters, shears, and grinders. Use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure precision in fabrication. Maintain proper welding techniques and finishing for durability and safety.
