Strategic Market Advisor – Construction & Development Sector Location: Saudi Arabia (Riyadh) Contract Type: Part-Time or Short-Term Project (3 months, extendable)
We are seeking a highly experienced Strategic Market Advisor to help shape the future direction of a leading building materials supplier.
The role focuses on identifying market gaps within the construction project cycle and converting these insights into new value-driven products and services for contractors and developers.
Key Responsibilities:• Conduct qualitative interviews with contractors, developers, project managers, and procurement leads. • Assess market behavior and trends in structural materials. • Analyze operational gaps, inefficiencies, and recurring pain points in the construction cycle. • Validate strategic hypotheses that support the creation of a new business model. • Recommend actionable product/service opportunities based on real market needs. • Produce weekly insight summaries and monthly strategic reports (Gap Map – Value Map – Recommendations – Final Report). • Support the identification of the top 2–3 strategic tracks that can enhance profitability and strengthen the value proposition for major clients.
Qualifications:• Minimum 15 years of experience in one or more of the following: ✓ General contracting ✓ Residential/commercial real estate development ✓ Construction project management ✓ Construction procurement ✓ Engineering consultancy ✓ Building materials supply • Preferably experienced across multiple sectors (Multi-Sector Exposure). • Strong capability to read market signals and understand contractor/developer behavior. • Deep understanding of the construction lifecycle (design → structural works → finishing). • Ability to extract insights from indirect interviews (without technical questioning). • Strong market relationships and access to field information. • Analytical mindset + commercial thinking + excellent communication skills.
