Electro Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Position Summary:

We are currently seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team in Riyadh, KSA.

The successful candidate will be responsible in defining the specifications, select, procure, install, commission, integrate machines into production lines, maintain, repair, finetune and improve automated machinery and computer controlled mechanical systems in the manufacturing plant.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive maintenance and continuous improvement of existing equipment, define specs, procure, integrate and build machines and tools.
  • The position holder will be actively involved, supporting the Plant Manager, in the development and improvement of manufacturing processes, tools and equipment of the manufacturing systems within the SQCM, leading to predictable, reliable, stable and efficient production processes.
  • Industrialization Program: lines and machines layouts, machinery and tools definition, RFQs and evaluation of technical proposals.
  • Carry out diagnosis of faults, maintenance and repairs to all types of equipment in a safe, timely and professional manner and return equipment to operational Service.
  • Electrical control wiring (relay logic), installation & troubleshooting.
  • Motor control & PLC (programmable logic controllers) wiring & installation.
  • Pneumatic & hydraulic systems troubleshooting.
  • Estimate length of time required to complete a job and likely consequences of failure to complete work within required timescales.
  • Identify and escalate any activity that has the potential to cause harm or damage.
  • Report breakdown root causes, equipment faults and concerns to Management.
  • Development of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), including training of production team personnel.
  • Performs periodic assessments of the safety level of the machineries, suggests and implements the necessary engineering improvement solutions to ensure maximum levels of health and safety.
  • Define, implement and maintain spare parts inventory, to guarantee equipment and machines maximum uptime.

Skills

  • Minimum 7 to 10 years of manufacturing experience or related fields.
  • Compulsory good Knowledge of AutoCAD 2D (layouts, production lines, etc.); preferable 3D (new machines parts, tools, machines design.
  • Knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting.
  • Good knowledge of MS Project or equivalent project management programs.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electromechanical, electronic systems, PLC controls, combined with a prolonged experience of their maintenance, upgrades, continuous improvement, selection and purchase, construction and integration.
  • Previous experience in industrial or manufacturing companies, with demonstrable advanced experience in electro-mechanical maintenance of automated machines.
  • Comfortable working on a number of high value and multi-disciplinary projects simultaneously.
  • Continuous improvement mentality and receptive to change.
  • Demonstrable experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Experience of PLC programming is an advantage.
