Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced International Sourcing and Procurement Manager to oversee global sourcing strategies and procurement operations. The ideal candidate will manage supplier relationships, ensure cost-effectiveness, and maintain quality standards to meet business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Global Sourcing Strategy:
- Develop and implement comprehensive international sourcing strategies to meet organizational needs.
- Identify and assess potential suppliers across global markets, focusing on quality, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
- Supplier Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with international suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to achieve favorable outcomes for the company.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations of suppliers and address any compliance issues.
- Procurement Operations:
- Oversee the procurement process, including supplier selection, purchase orders, and delivery schedules.
- Ensure timely and efficient procurement of materials and services to meet production or operational needs.
- Cost Optimization & Budget Management:
- Analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Develop budgets for sourcing and procurement and ensure adherence to financial targets.
- Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure sourcing activities comply with international trade regulations and company policies.
- Assess and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions, geopolitical changes, and market fluctuations.
- Collaboration & Reporting:
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand and fulfill procurement requirements.
- Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance to senior management.
Skills
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years in sourcing and procurement, with at least 3 years in an international role.
- Skills:
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Deep understanding of international trade laws, logistics, and customs regulations.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Languages: Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Personal Attributes: Strong leadership skills, cultural awareness, and adaptability to work in a global environment.
Working Conditions:
- Frequent international travel may be required.
- Office-based with occasional visits to suppliers and production sites.
