Job Purpose

  • Leads the monitoring and oversight of the NFXP Topsides & STP Contractor Team field planning, coordination, and execution activities within designated area of responsibility.
  • Appraises the performance of the NFXP Topsides & STP Contractor Team in safety, quality, cost (as applicable) and schedule
  • Prepares and provides routine verbal and written progress reports to the HOC, FAB yard-2 and updates S-curve performance of the contractor with analysis to achieve progress
  • Ensures that the NFXP offshore Topsides & STP Contractor Team develops, implements, and sustains its Safety and Quality program at site.
  • Review the NFXP off shore Top sides &STP Contractor ‘s Construction deliverables like Method statements, Construction Procedures, Lifting schemes etc.. as per company specifications


Key Accountabilities

(Duties include but not limited to)

  • Provides safety leadership by example to the NFXP Offshore Project Team and the NFXP offshore Contractor and its sub-contractors and site vendors
  • Responsible for Ensuring the NFXP offshore contractor team Implements and sustains its obligations and responsibilities for SHES project deliverables.
  • As NFXP Offshore Project Team Construction representative for monitoring and coordinating site activities of the NFXP offshore Contractor team and its subcontractor(s) in their area of responsibility
  • Reports on the construction activities, Progress, areas of concern and mitigating actions to head of Construction Fabrication yard-2 and participate & contribute to weekly construction discipline review meetings.
  • Responsible for implementation of execution activities and ensures development, review, and approval (as required) of appropriate plans, procedures, and programs for safe and effective execution. This includes authorization of COMPANY/RLIC permits wherever necessary.
  • Reviews and approves the NFXP offshore Contractor team’s Construction Sequence plans, work plans, pre-task planning and method statements and participate in Constructability reviews, Hazid workshops during construction to ensure comprehensive safety and feasibility in their area of responsibility
  • Help in identifying and organising all required construction support (Third Party support, Joint-Venture partner technical support, etc.) in liaison with the NFXP Offshore Topsides & STPs.
  • Review construction risks and assist in providing mitigation measures. Report Risks to the NFXP Offshore Head of Construction Fab Yard 2, review the EPCI schedule level 3 prepared by the Contractor.
  • Monitors site material handling, preservation, and warehousing procedures with respect to their area to facilitate construction progress


Knowledge And/or Experience

  • Minimum 10 yrs. experience in fabrication, construction within the offshore oil and gas industry.
  • Experience with Offshore Top sides and similar construction work at supervisory level and exhaustive experience for the preparation, fabrication, and construction of offshore structures with EPCI contractors.
  • Application and in-depth knowledge of stakeholder specifications and a working knowledge of Industry standards
  • Recent Experience (last 5 years) on Qatargas projects and working in Ras Laffan industrial city.


Qualification

  • Engineering Degree or similar, relevant experience maybe taken if coupled with HNC/HND, however any qualification, technical or knowledge requirements may be waived through relevant work experience.10 years of major oil and gas offshore project experience in a fabrication or construction capacity.
