Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and organized Storekeeper to manage the inventory and storage of materials and supplies for our Ready-Mix Concrete operations. The Storekeeper will be responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing raw materials such as cement, aggregates, admixtures, and other construction materials, ensuring accurate records, and supporting the smooth flow of operations in the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inventory Management: Oversee the receipt, storage, and issuance of materials, ensuring accurate quantities and quality checks for all incoming and outgoing stock.
• Stock Control: Maintain accurate stock records and ensure all materials are stored properly, categorized, and easily accessible.
• Material Handling: Use forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment to move materials around the warehouse safely and efficiently.
• Order Fulfillment: Ensure timely issuance of materials to the production and dispatch departments based on operational requirements.
• Inventory Audits: Conduct regular stock audits to reconcile physical inventory with stock records, and ensure any discrepancies are addressed promptly.
• Quality Control: Ensure that the materials meet the company’s quality standards and handle returns or damaged goods according to company procedures.
• Health & Safety: Adhere to all safety guidelines and practices in the warehouse, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of materials received, issued, and stored. Prepare reports for inventory levels, material usage, and stock movements.
• Coordination: Work closely with the procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure materials are available when required.
• Stock Replenishment: Monitor stock levels and inform the procurement team of any required material restocking.
• Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store and warehouse to meet safety and operational standards.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years experience in inventory management or warehouse operations, preferably in the construction, manufacturing, or ready-mix concrete industry.
• Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Certification in warehouse management or inventory control is a plus.

• Skills:
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to use inventory management systems and tools.
• Basic math skills for inventory tracking and reporting.
• Knowledge of safety standards and best practices for warehouse operations.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
