Please drop your CV at job descriptionJob Summary:The lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety of pool patrons by preventing and responding to emergencies. The lifeguard will oversee activities in and around the pool, ensuring a safe and clean environment for guests. This role requires vigilance, physical fitness, and the ability to act quickly and effectively in emergencies.Key Responsibilities:Safety and Supervision:Monitor pool area to ensure safety and prevent accidents.Enforce all pool rules and regulations to prevent accidents.Maintain constant surveillance of patrons in the facility; act immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of emergency.Emergency Response:Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.Respond to emergencies with the safety of the guest as the number one priority.Perform first aid and CPR as needed.Maintenance and Cleanliness:Ensure the pool area is clean and well-maintained, including pool decks, showers, and changing rooms.Conduct regular checks of pool equipment and facilities.Report any maintenance or safety issues to management.Customer Service:Greet and interact with pool guests, providing a welcoming environment.Answer questions and provide information about pool hours, rules, and activities.Assist with organizing pool activities and events.Training and Certification:Attend and participate in all scheduled training sessions and meetings.Maintain current lifeguard certification, including CPR and first aid.Stay updated with the latest safety protocols and lifeguard techniques.Qualifications:Education and Certification:High school diploma or equivalent.Valid lifeguard certification from a recognized organizationCPR and First Aid certification.Experience:Previous lifeguard experience preferred, especially in a high-volume recreational facility, hotel or resort.Experience in customer service or hospitality is an advantage.Skills and Abilities:Strong swimming skills and physical fitness.Ability to remain calm and act effectively in emergency situations.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to enforce rules and regulations in a professional manner.Working Conditions:Must be able to work in an outdoor environment with exposure to sun and heat.Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.Physical ability to perform job-related duties, including swimming, standing, bending, and lifting.Job Type: Full-timeExperience:Lifeguard: 2 years (Required)hotel: 2 years (Required)License/Certification:Lifeguard certificate (Required)
