Overview As an Application Engineer, you will be working with innovative companies in the aerospace/defense, oil/gas, communications, automation and machinery industries. You will be responsible for contributing to the marketing and sales of Math Works’ sophisticated engineering products; assisting in the development of components of software product models and simulations to demonstrate the use of Math Works’ MATLAB and Simulink products; developing components of technical engineering demonstrations of Math Works’ Simulink and MATLAB products to support the company’s sales activities; assisting senior team members in engagements with prospective and existing customers to understand their workflow and identifying relevant Math Works engineering solutions; and developing application examples and simulations to demonstrate how Math Works engineering software addresses
Qualifications A bachelor's degree in engineering (Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Communications). At least 2 years of experience with MATLAB and Simulink in signal processing, radio frequency and wireless communications applications or equivalent academic experience. Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills in English.
Special Requirements Demonstrated expertise in model-based design using MATLAB and Simulink tools, including modeling, simulating and analyzing design, testing and deployment workflows for control design and automation applications in a range of industries -- automotive, aerospace, and robotics. Demonstrated expertise supporting customers with engineering data analysis workflows using MATLAB and Simulink. Demonstrated expertise in developing and delivering technical product demonstrations to customers and assessing product marketing strategy.
Daily activities include Technical engagement with customers to understand their project requirements and workflows and then recommend Math Works technical capabilities. Prepare and deliver technical presentations and demonstrate application examples (onsite visits, seminars, etc.). Work with sales and marketing teams to create strategies for different accounts and markets. Execute in-depth technical engagements with customers evaluating Math Works products. Technical support for customers using MATLAB, Simulink, and the entire suite of products.
