Job Overview
We are seeking a detail‑oriented Aluminium & Glass Estimation Engineer to join our growing team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will leverage strong technical knowledge in aluminum and glass systems to prepare accurate cost estimates, bid proposals, and value‑engineering options for architectural curtain walls, façades, storefronts, skylights, and interior partition systems. This role requires collaboration with project managers, design teams, suppliers, and clients to ensure competitive pricing while maintaining quality and compliance with local standards.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Develop detailed take‑offs and quantity surveys for aluminium sections, glass, glazing seals, coatings, hardware, and associated materials.
- Prepare accurate material, labor, and subcontractor cost estimates for proposals, tenders, and budgets.
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and project requirements to identify scope, exclusions, and potential risks.
- Perform value engineering to optimize cost and performance without compromising quality or compliance.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to review design changes and issue revised estimates promptly.
- Interface with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations and ensure alignment with project timelines.
- Develop and maintain detailed estimating databases, unit rates, and historical data for future opportunities.
- Prepare and present bid summaries, risk assessments, and recommended procurement strategies to management and clients.
- Support project managers during procurement, change orders, and variation analyses with accurate cost implications.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, standards, and safety requirements relevant to aluminium and glass installations.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline (Aluminium/Glazing specialization preferred).
- 3 to 10 years of relevant estimation experience in aluminium and glass systems, preferably within the GCC region.
- Strong proficiency in read and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
- Solid understanding of cost estimation methods, take‑off processes, and software tools commonly used in the industry.
- Experience with curtain wall, facade, glazing, and metal works detailing and nomenclature.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple bids concurrently, and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills in English and Arabic.
- Knowledge of local codes, standards, and procurement practices in Saudi Arabia is highly desirable.
- Proficient in MS Office; experience with Estimating software (e.g., et, WinQS, Trimble, Presto) is a plus.
