POSITION SUMMARY

As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for managing inbound and outbound transportation operations within the plant, ensuring smooth and cost-effective movement of goods. You will play a critical role in optimizing transportation planning, coordinating with logistics providers, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

This role works closely with warehouse teams, suppliers, and external transport providers to enhance efficiency and meet business objectives.

Focus of this role is to:

• Oversee and coordinate daily inbound and outbound transport activities to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Optimize transport planning to reduce costs while maintaining service excellence.
• Ensure full compliance with Nestl SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) standards and local transport regulations.
• Collaborate with warehouse and production teams to align transport schedules with operational needs.
• Monitor carrier performance, address service issues, and drive continuous improvements.
• Ensure proper documentation and tracking of shipments, reducing delays and discrepancies.
• Support cost control initiatives by identifying and implementing transport efficiency improvements.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

Functional Responsibilities

Planning & Execution:

• Schedule and oversee daily inbound and outbound transport activities.
• Coordinate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure timely delivery.

Compliance & Safety :

• Ensure transport operations align with Nestl s SHE and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct periodic safety inspections of transport operations.

Performance Monitoring & Improvement:

• Track and analyze transport KPIs (on-time delivery, cost per trip, carrier efficiency).
• Identify areas for cost reduction and service improvement.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Work closely with warehouse teams to synchronize transport with material handling.
• Address transport-related issues and work with suppliers for resolution.

Reporting & Documentation:

• Maintain accurate transport records, invoices, and compliance documents.

Desired Candidate Profile

What will make you successful

Academic & Professional Experience:

• Bachelor s degree in supply chain, Logistics, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations.
• Experience working with 3PL providers and freight management systems.

Core Knowledge & Skills:

• Strong knowledge of transport planning and fleet management.
• Familiarity with SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) regulations related to transport.
• Proficiency in SAP transactions related to transport and logistics.
• Ability to analyze transport cost drivers and implement cost-saving initiatives.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and coordination skills, ensuring smooth collaboration between teams.
