The Role: Software Engineer / System Administrator

We are looking for a Software Engineer / System Administrator to manage and enhance our learning management systems. This position requires hands-on expertise with Blackboard LMS, combining software development skills with system administration capabilities to ensure robust and integrated educational technology solutions. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and evolving the university's digital learning environment, supporting both technical functionality and user experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, administer, and maintain Blackboard LMS and its associated applications to meet institutional needs.
• Build and support integrations between Blackboard and other enterprise systems, utilizing APIs and web services for seamless data flow and interoperability.
• Develop and maintain custom applications, extensions, and automation tools to enhance system functionality and efficiency.
• Support integrations with various critical university systems, including SIS, ERP, HR, CRM, identity management, and third-party learning platforms.
• Troubleshoot technical, system, and integration-related issues promptly to ensure continuous and reliable operation of learning systems.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Demonstrated hands-on experience with Blackboard LMS is essential for this role.
• A minimum of 0-1 years of professional experience in a software engineering or system administration capacity.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position requiring on-site presence. The role is based at the university's facilities in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, contributing directly to the local academic community and its technological advancements.
