Responsibilities and duties:
1. Planning and organization:
Develop a detailed timeline for finishing works covering all items (e.g., painting, plumbing, electrical, doors, windows, and others).
Schedule work in coordination with contractors to ensure smooth workflow without delays or item interference.
2. Field supervision:
Monitor workers and contractors on site and supervise the execution of works according to the required engineering standards and quality.
Daily inspection of progress on various items and ensure compliance with engineering specifications.
3. Receiving and inspecting materials:
Receiving materials from suppliers and ensuring they meet technical specifications before use in finishing.
Ensure availability of necessary materials on time to prevent any delays in work.
4. Sampling and reporting:
Conduct accurate measurements (gauging) of materials used weekly and provide comprehensive reports to the owner or senior management on progress made.
Prepare detailed reports on project status and challenges, with recommendations for possible solutions.
5. Coordination and communication:
Coordinate between different work teams (electricity, plumbing, painting, etc.) to ensure no conflicts in work and provide an efficient working environment.
Communicate with the owner or their representative to provide necessary updates and approve modifications when needed.
6. Contractor payment approval:
Review work completed by contractors and verify its quality and compliance with the agreed contracts.
Approve the financial payments due to contractors after confirming completion of works according to the required specifications.
7. Quality assurance:
Apply the highest quality standards at all finishing stages, and ensure everyone adheres to safety and quality procedures.
Monitor and address any technical issues that arise during implementation and provide quick and effective solutions.
