Job Details

The Electrical Engineer MV/LV/AV Power Generation will be responsible for defining, developing, and implementing the project s power generation strategy in line with industry best practices and client requirements. This role includes technical oversight of MV, LV, and AV power systems, coordination with vendors and internal stakeholders, and ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all power generation assets. Key Responsibilities Support the client in the development and refinement of the overall power strategy for the project. Participate in the definition of power generation concepts, architectures, and configurations for MV, LV, and associated AV systems. Manage the performance of service providers and coordinate activities with various power vendors to ensure contractual and technical compliance. Develop, review, and manage scopes of work for power systems vendors and oversee implementation to ensure quality, schedule, and budget adherence. Support, monitor, and maintain the power systems within the project, ensuring high availability and reliability. Develop operational solutions for power generation and distribution, including operating philosophies, system settings, and emergency procedures. Plan, implement, and follow up on preventive maintenance programs for all related power assets and systems. Coordinate closely with internal client departments and project stakeholders to align power strategies with broader project objectives. Prepare detailed technical reports, feasibility studies, and recommendations related to power operations, system upgrades, and optimization. Develop power-related processes, procedures, and work instructions in line with client operational and safety requirements. Ensure compliance with all applicable local authority regulations, codes, and standards related to power generation and electrical systems. Provide sound technical solutions and recommendations to support day-to-day operational activities and long-term asset management. Follow established procedures to initiate and track service calls for equipment repair, and support project work efforts as assigned. Maintain awareness of relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health policies, manuals, and procedures in place within Parsons, and ensure continuous compliance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., security, IT, operations) where power systems interface with CCTV, access control, and other low-voltage/ELV systems. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the line manager/supervisor.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in power generation and electrical systems, preferably covering MV, LV, and associated AV/ELV systems.
  • Proven experience with power generation systems (e.g., generators, UPS, switchgear, distribution panels) and associated control and protection systems.
  • Experience working on the client side or in an owner s representative role is an advantage.
  • Excellent knowledge of: Power generation systems (MV and LV) Power distribution and protection schemes Integration with CCTV, access control, and related AV/ELV systems Relevant electrical codes, standards, and local authority regulations
  • Strong understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance practices for electrical systems.
  • Ability to manage and evaluate service providers and vendors, including performance monitoring and contract compliance.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct feasibility studies and develop technical and operational reports.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear, concise, and high-quality technical documentation and reports.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in relevant engineering and office software tools (e.g., electrical design tools, MS Office).
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • This position requires coordination with multiple stakeholders and the ability to work in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
