Overview The HSE Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures on construction sites in Amaala, Saudi Arabia. This role requires full physical presence on-site in Amaala to ensure compliance with regulations and promotes a culture of safety among all team members.
Responsibilities:HSE Policy Development:Create and update HSE policies and procedures to align with industry standards and regulations. Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies. Training and Awareness:Conduct HSE training sessions for all site personnel to promote safety awareness. Ensure that new employees receive proper HSE orientation. Site Inspections:Maintain continuous on-site presence in Amaala to perform regular site inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with HSE standards. Document findings and recommend corrective actions. Incident Investigation:Lead investigations of accidents and incidents to identify root causes. Prepare reports and present findings to management with recommendations for improvement. Regulatory Compliance:Stay updated on local and national HSE regulations and ensure compliance across all projects. Liaise with regulatory bodies during inspections and audits. Reporting and Documentation:Maintain accurate records of HSE activities, incidents, and training. Prepare and submit regular HSE reports to the Projects Director.
Key Responsibilities & KPIs:Incident Rate: Reduction in the number of workplace incidents. Compliance Rate: Percentage of compliance with HSE regulations during inspections. Training Participation: Number of employees trained and their feedback. Risk Assessment Completion: Timeliness and thoroughness of risk assessments conducted. HSE Audit Results: Outcomes of internal and external HSE audits. Interfaces Regulatory Authorities: Interface during inspections and compliance checks. Consultants: Work with external HSE consultants as needed for assessments and improvement.
Qualifications:Location Requirement: Must be located in or willing to relocate to Amaala, Saudi Arabia. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or a related field. Experience: 3-5 years of experience in HSE management, preferably in construction. Certifications: NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent HSE certification.
