Job Brief We are looking for an experienced Welding Engineer to join a leading construction and engineering team in Qatar. If you have strong welding engineering knowledge, an International Welding Engineer (IWE) certification, and experience working on large industrial or infrastructure projects, this is an excellent opportunity to build your career. In this role, you will ensure all welding activities meet quality, safety, and project standards while supporting successful project delivery.
Responsibilities Plan and supervise all welding activities at project sites. Review welding procedures and ensure compliance with project specifications. Prepare and approve Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR). Ensure welders are qualified and certified before project execution. Monitor welding quality and resolve technical issues. Coordinate with quality, engineering, and construction teams. Review welding inspection reports and support quality audits. Ensure compliance with international welding codes and standards. Support project planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring. Promote safe work practices and maintain high safety standards.
Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. International Welding Engineer (IWE) Certification is mandatory. Minimum 10 years of experience as a Welding Engineer. Experience in large EPC, construction, industrial, or Oil & Gas projects. Strong knowledge of welding processes, materials, inspection methods, and quality standards. Familiarity with international codes such as ASME, AWS, API, or ISO. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work with multidisciplinary project teams.
