- Execute preventative maintenance on high and medium voltage switchgear, transformers, and substations to ensure system reliability and minimize downtime.
- Perform diagnostic testing and troubleshooting of electrical faults in power distribution systems, identifying root causes for efficient repair.
- Safely operate and de-energize high voltage equipment according to strict safety protocols and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Install, inspect, and maintain protective relays, circuit breakers, and other control systems to safeguard electrical infrastructure.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possession of a High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational training in electrical technology is highly advantageous.
- Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program in electrical power systems or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as Journeyman Electrician, Master Electrician, or specialized high voltage training.
