About the Role
The Procurement Expeditor plays a critical role in ensuring the timely and efficient procurement of goods and services to support the organization's operations. Responsibilities
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of goods and services while tracking purchase orders through procurement systems. Review purchase orders, contracts, and procurement documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies. Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and contract terms with vendors to achieve cost-effective purchasing solutions. Monitor inventory levels and forecast future procurement requirements using data analysis and inventory management tools. Collaborate with internal departments to understand purchasing needs and ensure efficient procurement support. Evaluate supplier performance regularly to maintain high standards of quality, reliability, and service. Prepare procurement reports, analyze key performance metrics, and present insights to management to support strategic decision-making. Assist in developing and improving procurement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance operational efficiency. Stay informed of industry trends, supplier markets, and pricing fluctuations to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve procurement strategies. Support continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen procurement and supply chain performance.
Qualifications
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills. Proficiency with procurement and ERP software for purchasing and inventory management. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external suppliers. High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in purchase orders, contracts, and procurement documentation. Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines. Solid understanding of procurement processes, inventory management, and supply chain principles. Strong organizational and time management skills.
