Roles & Responsibilities
About the Role: The Network & Communication Services Team Lead is responsible for leading and managing the three units under Network & Communication Services, including Network Infrastructure & Architecture, Voice & Communication Systems, and Wireless/WAN Management. This role ensures the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of a robust, secure, and scalable network infrastructure. The incumbent will manage service delivery across LAN/WAN, VoIP, and wireless networks to ensure high availability, performance, and alignment with organizational goals
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy:
- Lead all functions under Network & Communication Services, aligning unit objectives with organizational IT and security strategies.
- Develop and maintain network roadmaps, ensuring scalability and adaptability to changing business needs.
- Supervise and mentor network engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability
Voice & Communication Systems:
- Manage VoIP infrastructure, gateways, SIP trunks, and QoS.
- Maintain and improve call center/IVR platforms, voicemail, and call routing systems.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure reliability and performance of voice systems.
Wireless & WAN Management:
- Oversee deployment and maintenance of wireless access points and WAN connectivity.
- Optimize bandwidth usage and remote access solutions for performance and cost-efficiency.
- Monitor and troubleshoot WAN traffic for latency, congestion, and reliability issues.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Collaborate with IT Security, Technical Management, and Data Centre teams to ensure integrated infrastructure planning.
- Act as an escalation point for major network and communication incidents.
- Support incident response and troubleshooting with detailed root cause analysis and resolution strategies.
Compliance & Documentation:
- Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, audit requirements, and internal policies.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master s degree is an advantage.
Experience: 15+ years of experience in network and communication services, with at least 3 years in a team leadership or supervisory role.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Cisco and similar network technologies.. Solid experience with VoIP systems (Cisco Call Manager, Genesys, etc.). Expertise in wireless technologies, WAN optimization, and network monitoring tools.
Certifications (Preferred): CCNP, CCIE, ITIL Foundation, or equivalent certifications.
Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills in diagnosing and resolving complex network. issues.
Collaboration & Communication: Proven ability to lead teams and communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.
