We are looking for a BIM Engineer – MEP to join our project in Riyadh, KSA having the following:
About the Role The BIM Engineer – MEP will be responsible for overseeing MEP technical management and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and codes on large-scale building projects.
Responsibilities
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
Minimum 8 years of relevant MEP technical experience, including at least 5 years in a MEP technical leadership role on large-scale building projects.
Proven experience in end-to-end MEP technical management.
Strong capability in reviewing and approving MEP shop drawings, coordinated BIM models, and resolving multi-disciplinary clashes.
Demonstrated expertise in review of technical calculations, including:HVAC heat load, ventilation & smoke management calculations Duct sizing, pipe sizing, pump head calculations Fire-fighting hydraulic calculations Electrical load schedules, short-circuit, voltage drop, and coordination studies
Thorough knowledge of international and local codes and standards, including but not limited to:SBC, NFPA, ASHRAE, SMACNAIEC, IEEE, BS, NECCivil Defense and relevant local authority requirements in KSA
Proven experience in technical evaluation and approval of Material Approval Requests, including compliance checks against specifications, standards, and authority requirements.
Strong background in specialist MEP systems coordination, such as:Fire & Life Safety systems (sprinkler, FM-200 / clean agent, fire alarm) BMS / IBMS, ELV and low-current systems Renewable energy systems (PV) and energy efficiency measures
Experience in value engineering and alternative technical proposals, ensuring no deviation from performance criteria or statutory compliance.
Proven involvement in testing, commissioning, and integrated systems testing, including review of method statements, ITPs, and commissioning plans.
Capability to technically represent the contractor in meetings with Client, PMC, Consultant, and Authorities, providing sound technical justifications and written responses.
Strong documentation and reporting skills, including preparation of technical submissions, clarifications, deviation requests, and as-built documentation.
Prior experience on headquarters buildings, high-rise, hospitals, data centers, or large mixed-use developments within KSA or GCC is mandatory.
