Job Purpose
To manage, control, and optimize all warehouse and inventory operations for the SWRO plant, ensuring uninterrupted availability of materials, spare parts, chemicals, and consumables required for construction, commissioning, and operation phases.
Key Responsibilities
1. Warehouse Operations Management
- Establish and manage centralized warehouse(s) and satellite stores.
- Ensure proper layout for heavy equipment, critical spares, chemicals, and consumables.
- Implement safe storage practices for hazardous materials (chemicals used in SWRO process).
- Maintain FIFO / FEFO inventory systems where applicable.
2. Inventory Control & Material Management
- Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP systems (e.g., SAP / Oracle).
- Monitor stock levels (min/max) for critical equipment:
- RO membranes
- High-pressure pumps spare parts
- Energy recovery devices (ERDs)
- Instrumentation & electrical components
- Conduct periodic stock audits and cycle counts.
3. Procurement Coordination
- Coordinate with procurement team for timely replenishment.
- Review Material Requisition (MR), Purchase Orders (PO), and delivery schedules.
- Ensure proper material inspection and acceptance upon delivery.
4. Logistics & Material Handling
- Manage receiving, unloading, inspection, storage, and issuing processes.
- Coordinate with transport/logistics teams for local and international shipments.
- Handle oversized equipment (pumps, pressure vessels, skids).
5. HSE Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Saudi Water Authority and Saudi regulations.
- Implement proper storage for chemicals (e.g., antiscalants, sodium hypochlorite).
- Maintain MSDS documentation and emergency response procedures.
- Enforce PPE usage and warehouse safety standards.
6. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain:
- Goods Receiving Notes (GRN)
- Material Issue Vouchers (MIV)
- Stock reports and aging analysis
- Generate weekly/monthly inventory and consumption reports.
7. Team Management
- Supervise storekeepers, warehouse assistants, and forklift operators.
- Implement shift-based operations (day/night) aligned with project schedule.
- Conduct training on warehouse procedures and safety.
8. Interface with Project & O&M Teams
- Support construction, commissioning, and O&M teams with timely material supply.
- Manage critical spare parts strategy for long-term plant operation.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in:
- Supply Chain Management
- Logistics
- Business Administration
- Engineering (Mechanical / Industrial preferred)
Professional Certifications (Preferred)
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
- Certified in Logistics / Warehouse Management
- SAP MM (Materials Management) certification
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 10–15 years in warehouse/stores management
- At least 5–7 years in large industrial projects, preferably:
- Desalination plants (SWRO preferred)
- Power plants
- Oil & Gas / EPC projects
- Experience in:
- Handling large-scale inventory (>100,000 SKUs)
- Managing heavy equipment and critical spares
- Working in remote industrial locations such as Ras Al Khair
