Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Transportation Manager to oversee and manage the company’s transportation operations and fleet activities. The role is responsible for ensuring efficient fleet utilization, maintaining high safety standards, optimizing operational costs, and ensuring timely delivery of transportation services.

Key Responsibilities Transportation Operations

• Oversee daily transportation and logistics operations.
• Plan and coordinate vehicle and driver schedules.
• Ensure timely and efficient transportation services.
• Coordinate with other departments to meet operational requirements.

Fleet Management

• Monitor the condition and availability of company vehicles.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs for the fleet.
• Track fuel consumption and optimize fuel efficiency.
• Manage vehicle breakdowns, repairs, and accident reports.

Cost Control & Efficiency

• Monitor and control transportation operational costs including fuel, maintenance, insurance, and drivers.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce expenses.
• Analyze transportation performance and cost metrics.

Team Management

• Supervise drivers and transportation staff.
• Manage work schedules and attendance.
• Evaluate employee performance and provide necessary training.

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies.
• Monitor vehicle licenses, permits, and insurance validity.
• Ensure all safety procedures and standards are followed.

Reporting

• Prepare regular reports related to:
  • Fleet performance
  • Fuel consumption
  • Maintenance activities
  • Operational costs

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in transportation or fleet management.
• Experience managing drivers and fleet operations.
