Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze tender documents such as RFPs and RFQs to understand the scope of work, technical specifications, and contract conditions.
- Identify mechanical system requirements including HVAC, plumbing, firefighting systems, generators, and pumps.
- Perform detailed quantity take-offs from drawings and technical specifications.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates covering labor, materials, spare parts, and equipment.
- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations and compare them technically and commercially.
- Identify technical and commercial risks associated with the project and propose mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and submit competitive pricing proposals in coordination with the Business Development and Commercial teams.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in mechanical estimation, preferably in Facility Management (FM) projects.
- Experience working with Operation & Maintenance (O&M) or Integrated FM contracts.
- Good knowledge of mechanical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, firefighting systems, pumps, and generators.
- Strong understanding of cost estimation, BOQ preparation, and lifecycle costing
