Role Overview:
Dar is seeking experienced and talented Senior Electrical Engineers with proven PMC expertise and strong design background to join its distinguished Engineering team.
Responsibilities:
Support the design and development of electrical systems for major infrastructure and building projects, ensuring compliance with codes and standards. Assist in PMC (Project Management Consultancy) activities such as reviewing designs, coordinating with contractors, and supporting project documentation. Review shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements to confirm alignment with project requirements. Ensure assigned tasks are delivered within project timelines, budgets, and quality frameworks.
Job Summary The Electrical Low Voltage Engineer is responsible for the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of low voltage electrical systems to ensure safe, reliable, and continuous operation of facilities. The role involves preventive and corrective maintenance, system monitoring, fault diagnosis, and coordination with other technical teams to maintain compliance with safety and performance standards. Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Operations Operate, maintain, and monitor low voltage electrical systems, including:Power distribution boards (LV panels) Lighting systems (indoor, outdoor, emergency lighting) UPS systems and batteries Fire alarm systems Access control, CCTV, and security systems Structured cabling and ELV systems (BMS interfaces, PA systems, etc.) Perform preventive maintenance as per maintenance schedules and manufacturer recommendations. Carry out corrective maintenance and emergency repairs to minimize downtime. Inspect electrical installations to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Troubleshooting & Fault Management Diagnose faults in low voltage systems and implement effective corrective actions. Analyze recurring issues and recommend system improvements. Respond promptly to breakdowns and operational alarms.
Safety & Compliance Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and company procedures. Prepare risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) when required. Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and logs.
Coordination & Reporting Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and service providers for specialized maintenance activities. Support commissioning, testing, and handover of new or modified systems. Prepare technical reports, maintenance documentation, and performance summaries. Communicate effectively with supervisors, facility managers, and other engineering disciplines.
