Skills
Policies, Processes and Procedures
- Applies approved section policies, processes, and procedures and monitors adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner.
Day- to-day operations
- Applies the day-to-day operations assigned for the Technical Support Section to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures.
Project Management
- Coordinates & supports the activities and work of the contractors to ensure that all work agreed upon is carried out in an efficient manner which is consistent with the organisation requirements and is in line with operating procedures and policy.
Review of Specifications
- Analyzes systems and program specifications for highly complex business applications and test procedures to ensure adherence to application/software specifications.
Quality Assurance & Testing
- Coordinates with representatives of the functional area to understand their requirements and business processes so that SAP systems can be configured to meet user information and requirements.
- Conducts debugging of new and existing programs; confers with Sr. Analyst or SAP consultants to resolve complex programming problems as necessary ensuring adherence with automated code testing procedures.
- Identifies, analyzes & documents problems & issues with new & existing program codes and diagnoses, reports, tracks and resolves programming quality issues.
- Utilizes existing Quality Assurance tools and techniques to test software codes.
Evaluation & Documentation
- Supports the review and evaluation of SAP documentation; uses Test Management and Documentation Management functionality within Solution Manager and perform quality check on all SAP implementations.
- Evaluates Business documentation (functional specs, business process procedures, work instructions, etc.; tests documentation in SAP (test scripts, defect records, etc.) and executing tests (execute clients pre-existing tests).
- Understands the environment on a technical level, and evaluate functionality and corresponding documentation of current KJO SAP landscape.
Operational Improvement
- Identifies opportunities for improvements to processes/procedures in SAP Application development, testing & QA and make recommendations in implementing appropriate systems.
User Training
- Trains user departmental staff in the input of data and generation of reports so that departments can independently utilise the module’s functionality without ongoing reliance on SAP technical experts.
Reporting
- Prepares section reports in a timely and accurate manner to meet Company and section requirements, policies and standards
Safety, Health & Environment
- Complies with all relevant safety, health and environmental procedures to ensure a healthy and safe work environment
