Job Details

To follow up and inspect activities and facilities associated in the preventive and routine maintenance of the production facilities. To inspect, advise technically and coordinate maintenance/repair/overhaul/spare parts of production facilities.

Skills


  • Applies approved section policies, processes, and procedures and monitors adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner.

  • Applies the day-to-day operations assigned for the section to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures.

  • Designs and prepares specifications of preventive maintenance and carries out skilled inspection work on all areas of the KJO’s equipments to ensure optimal operation

  • Prepares scope of work, including specifications, drawings of tender documents for the project  to ensure technical soundness

  • Evaluates the technical bids and proposals submitted by the bidders for equipments to ensure specification and need

  • Studies, inspects, and supervises complex trouble shooting, repair and adjustments of equipment and facilities carried out by vendors. 

  • Recommends on-the-job training for technicians for special tasks, through the training department.

  • Prepares and reviews scope of work, including specifications,  drawings and other instrumentation parts of tender documents for the projects

  • Establishes specifications for new materials, spare parts etc for vendor quotation and follow up.

  • Evaluates bids and proposals submitted by the bidders for materials and spare parts.

  • Supervises, monitors and inspects contractors’ work during the contract execution to ensure compliance with the terms and conditions of contract, and reports any discrepancy between contract and actual work to his Supervisor

  • Studies, develops and recommends methods and procedures to improve the safe and efficient operation through breakdown maintenance or trouble-shooting

  • Studies and recommends a new technology and its application to KJO operations

  • Consults other departments concerned to verify engineering output and construction of equipment or parts of facilities

  • Inspects job sites to insure safe working conditions and enforces safe working practices and good housekeeping

  • Prepares timely and accurate departmental reports which conform to Company and department requirements, policies and standards

  • Studies, analyses, compiles and submits reports to keep management informed about progress of maintenance.

  • Complies with all relevant safety, health and environmental procedures to ensure a healthy and safe work environment

  • Performs other related duties or assignments as directed
